how to remove egr properly
ok i recently took out my power steering, ac, smog, and got a electric water pump, and i plan on just running crank and alternator.
I want to take out my egr to clean it up a little more by deleting the egr what will i have to do, i know i need a block off plate and what else? will my motor be alright, will i lose power. just want to know the steps and parts i will need in order for me to do this.
thanks

RE: how to remove egr properly
did you remove everything else ? you can block the hole from the lower just w/ a non egr gasket
y-tube off the back of the heads, plug w/ thermactor plugs (threaded inserts..or or end for end the y-yube brackets and put them on backwards w/ rtv)
plug about 3 vac lines w/ caps, plug the steel tube going into the h-pipe
thats about it...no it won't lose power at all, after you block the egr heat to the tb...then it's ok to bypass the coolant as well. the coolant is to cool it from the egr gasses....when it's gone, it just gets it hot.
