I have a 95 GT w/ 3:73's, Hi-Flow H-Pipe, 75mm MAF, KandN, and there is a kid with a late nineties GS-R looking to go.He has euros and ugly coffee can exhaust. Are the late 90's GS-R's easy to make quick? I know they run low 15's stock and I figure I am running mid 14's w/ good launch, but I figure he has CAI and mabye some exhaust work. Does that improve them much?
you'll put more than a car lenth or two!!!!!!!!!!!! those things are not fast, especially in the low ends
1/2 a second difference does not make the difference between fast and not fast (ok well in the race it does, but in general it does not). A 17 second car = not fast when compared to a 14 second car. A 15 second car is an oil spot or missed shift away from winning.
Unless of course you mean that his Mustang is not fast either.
Go from a stop. That's the easiest way to insure yourself a victory. Since your stock intake manifold blows, don't run him at higher speed, cuz GS-Rs DO have a better top end than 94-98 GTs. And just so you know, 94-95 GS-Rs are quicker than 96-01 GS-Rs. They have about 2-5hp more stock, and respond better to mods... gotta love OBD1<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">
