Default Throttle Body

I was wondering if you change to a 65mm or a 70mm TB on a stock 5.0 will you have to buy some other parts to make it fit properly or can u just but the TB and blot on to the other stock parts and have it still work fine. Same goes for a 73mm Mass Air. Thanks a bunch.

The mass air is a simple bolt on, as for the throttle body, if the plenum on the intake is smaller than the throttle body, its best to either use an adaptor, port the intake, or replace it to for maximum gains. I forget the stock size of a 5.0 plenum or how large a throttle body you can get them to accept.

a 70mm is way too big for a stock engine....even the 65 you have is a lil big with out using a bigger mass...I would go for a 76mm mass....you will have about 7mm to hone our...that's alot ...<edited><editID>vfast</editID><editDate>37910.4054513889</editDate></edited>

definatly 70mm is too big for a stock engine. i have a c&L 76 mm mass air sensor and a profesional products 70 mm throttle body with no spacer because of the cobra intake. but thats because i have a built motor so if you plan on the bigger bolt ons like heads and intake then wait untill u buy them for the bolt on throttle body and mass air sensor, otherwise by a 65mm. get the professional products because it has an adjustable tps sensor. set it at .99
