Default new edelbrock intake installed

hey guys i just installed my edelbrock intake on my 93 and it was hell from the start. the bolts on the bottom intake were so tight that one broke off in the head and it is the one on the front right of the engine. then i get it all temp put back together to see if i could get it to run and i just cant seem to get the damn timming right. it is at 10 deg and running rough i tried 10-13 deg and just running rough. then when i turn off the engine i hear what sounds like my lifters moving. it sounds like little cracks or popcorn in the heads and it is random pops. its not water boiling or anything like that it was more like pistons are still under pressure and moving slightly. so i desided not to mess with it anymore and bring it to the shop to let a professional take a look. and try to remove the broken bolt. my question is does anyone know what the popping cracking sounds are and how much do you think it will cost to bring it to the shop to get them to fix the broken bolt in the head. thanks for all your help.

ps any one have a set of aftermarket heads for sale let me know i may need some new heads.lol

sounds like you have a vaccum leak. not sure on cost to fix but if you have a torch you can heat it up and remove it yourself
