In back of front wheels and in front of rear wheels. I used the notches for the placement of your stock jack. The notches are located where GT ground effects bolt on underneath.
I got a kit from Pep Boys for 30.00 on sale. I came w/ a floor jack and two jack stands. I got an additional set of jack stands for 15.00. Yea, I know this is cheap ****, just didn't have cash to get anything expensive.

thats how i do it... i use some blocks of wood too though, so the back end is up a little higher...you'd be surprised what 4-6 extra inches does for you.
the higher car is nice too

Four stands under the frame is a bad idea.
Sometimes the 4rth stand is not loaded with weight.
I had 4 stands under the frame while working on a 383 Dodge Dart. Rolling under the car with a creeper and bumped into a stand with my shoulder. Knocked the stand out from under the frame. As it sat there on 3 stands I quickly rolled out from under the car.
Since that day on I've either placed at least 2 under the suspension or use ramps.
