Better for what? It's like asking, "What tool is better?"

Just split the difference and go with the 3.90 gear.

I can only hope you were joking. In a SEARCH of this topic I found an assload of "help". There has been much discussion on this topic and some great info in what I found in a search of "3.73 or 4.10". OP should do this to find more info on the subject. I'm not bashing you OP just trying to point you to the wealth of great info.

this is a question that will yield nothing but opinions.

i will give mine , and i am very strong about it.
4.10's all the way or don't even bother

i still get 21 mpg and i tach 3000 doing 85, i go through the traps in the 1/4 at about 5400-5500

i can tell you for a fact, w/ 3.73 and a stockish car, you will still bog on cheater slicks, and thats w/ a 5-speed.

but if you plan a blower or turbo......might wanna go 3.55 for now, or deal w/ the 3.73 later.

i spray my car and it loves 4.10's , i can spray right from the light all the way down.

if it's an aod car... no question.. 4.10's or 4.30's

i still have to wonder how people think that 1 post they feel is unneeded , is now better by adding 3 more replies that say nothing ?

if you don't like the thread stay out...... the guy asked a legitimate question, who cares if it gets covered a lot. there was nothing misleading about it , you didn't even have to come in here.
