Default embarrassing

so finally got a good friday to go to the track. roll through the water box and do a nice smokey burn out. get up to the line start to bring the revs up and...... it stalls.

then it wont start. got it runnin for a few seconds and it sounded really crappy like it was runnin on 2 cylinders or gettin no fuel. I have no idea what went wrong.

so i get towed off the line, let the car sit for about a half hour and then it starts up fine like nothing happened.

does anyone have any idea what could have happened. it was probably a sensor or sumthing stupid but if anyone had a similar situation id like to hear what you found out.

runs fine now it was just weird
i just dont want it to happen again the next time im at the track it sucks gettin towed off the line

i dont know if i overrevved it or sumthing doin the burn out and it put the comp in a safe mode or something.

what would cause it to cut fuel and then be fine 30min later?

yeah hitting 6500 isnt very good for your engine considering it redlines at 5800 that might of had something to do with it

The rev limiter is 6250. So chance's are you didnt go past that. Revving your car that high should not have hurt it. Carb or EFI. Hell , it could have been a fluke and never happen again. If it continue's to run fine dont be afraid of the track.
