you'll have to remove the shifter first and tap out the roll pin holding shifter block in place then un bolt cross member and tailshaft housing and speedo cable and anything else in the way and while pulling back on tailshaft housing slide the shifter block back off the shaft and it should all come out.....can't remmeber if the h-pipe will be in the way but if it is loosesn and let it hang a little once tailshaft housing is out be careful not to knick up the case to drive it out..a seal/bushing driver is best to use

Thanks Mike, it almost sounds just as easy to just pull the tranny and have the extra room available. I have never done a t5 so I may benefit from just pulling it out.

when they called ford for my part, they said that there where only 2 in the hole state, and that its not a easy part to comeby.

I believe you that's why I just call napa..they usually have them in stock.. I just ordered one a month ago for a 95 mustang I did

if your quick, i bet you could get it done in 30min-45min, real easy on the AOD's


idk with t-5's though, but gives you an idea [>:]

Mike, how long did it take you to do the bushing in the 95?
including removing the tranny it'll take a few hours depending on how quick you can do it all

i don't mean to jack the thread, but i'm curious about the same issue on my car. when i push up and down on the drive shaft when its inside the tranny i have play. how much play is tolerable if any? thanks
