oil pressure drop
hello, i have a new 347 stroker with less than 100 miles on it, in a 93 hatch. i am having problems with my oil pressure dropping when i come to a stop after the engine was under a load. i will be driving, and will let the car out of gear, to come to a stop sign, and the idle and oil pressure will just plummit. i understand when the idle of the car gets low the oil pressure drops also, but when i say drops, the oil pressure gage bottoms out. when i let it sit at an idle, without the motor ever having a load on it, the oil pressure is fine.. i dont have any idea why my oil pressure is inconsitant. does anyone have any ideas?

RE: oil pressure drop
How is the oil level and how many quarts are in there?
What oil pan do you have? factory 5 quarts or canton 6/7 quarts?
Who did the 347 build? Was the Crank New OR TURNED?
Ive seen STD Bearings used on .010 turned cranks. and just because a bearing says .010 dont meen it is.

RE: oil pressure drop
Sounds like maybe the pickup is too high, hits the brakes and the oil sloshes away from the pickup. Stock pan, or is it a baffled pan? And does it do it when you corner hard also? Definately check it with a good gauge though, stock gauges are notoriously innaccurate,
