Default Need suspension help

I have an 88 GT and am currently running Lakewood drag shocks and struts (appear to be older), also have adjustable rear upper and lower control arms, (not sure of the brand)and unsure on the springs. I took it to the track yesterday and was getting 1.8 60' times. If all I wanted was a car for the strip I would leave it the way it is, but the ride on the street is terrible, feels like it has no shocks and clunks and rattles on every little bump. I only go the track 3-4 times a year so I am looking to improve the comfort level on the street, but would like to maintain decent 60' foot times.I needsome suggestions for new springs, shocks and rear control arms. any help is appreciated.

You can leave the control arms alone they wont change the ride. If the shocks/stuts are a few years old I would start with changing them out and getting some adjustable shock/struts. That way when u go to teh track stiffen them up and when you leave soften them.

Actually I got the under the car today, and the upper and lower control arms are solid mounts with no bushings. the rear springs have been cut so I am guessing once I replace control arms springs and shocks it will drive a different car.
