Default overheating problem: NEED HELP

ive tried everything to try and fix the problem but cannot get to the bottom of it. right now im thinking its the headgasket but i figured i would see what you guys thought first. ive replaced the thermostat, took the waterpump off and inspected it and it turned free and made no noise so i put it back on. i checked all the hoses. I took thehoses off the radiator and ran a water hose to it and put water in the top and water ran through it freely so the rad. is not clogged. there is no smoke coming out of the exhaust to make me think its a headgasket. i checked the oil and it was pretty runny but i didnt know if that was because it was running really hot or it had water in it. also it was building up pressure and blowing water out of the lower rad. hose going to the waterpump. tommorow im going to pull the thermostat out of the car and see if it still overheates to rule that out all together. ill also check the oil while it cool. also when it overheats i hear a poping coming from the heads. im thinking its the head gasket ive pretty much ruled out everthing else, what do you guys think? all help is greatly apreciated, thanks

The oil will be milky looking if there is water in it. Usuallya white film as well.

Are you burping the air out of the system after refilling it?

yea i leave the lid off for a while after i put some in it but still doesnt explain why it overheates. i havent checked the heater core. i dont even know where it is, where is it located and how can i check to see if it is clogged? it over heates after about 5-7 minitues of idleing. i happens rather suddenly, within 45 secs it goes from normal to pegged hot then spews water everywhere, the oil was not white looking just watery feeling, i guess b/c the oil was hot??

Yeah, the oil thins out when hot. Keep it running, and add more water after it pukes out the air and see if it starts circulating thru the radiator after that. Sounds like you have a big air pocket still.

Follow the black pipes back over the lower intake. There are two S shaped hoses that lead to the firewall in the passenger side. This is the heater core.
