Default Smog Pump Delete

Can anyone tell me specific directions for removal...as in which hoses to remove/plug. I have cats on my H currently, but will be going O/R here soon + will make header install easier.

As long as you have factory cats on the car you will need the smog pump. Since you plan on changing the exhaust anyway, take the hoses off the smog pump, unbolt the smog pump from thebraket, pullthe hose off the tube that goes to the back of the heads ( you can either block it off or unbolt it andreinstall blots in the holes in the back of the heads), and lastly jack the car up and remove the tube that travels from theh-pipeto the engine compartment. You will need to plug the tube on theh-pipeor you will have an exhaust leak (put asmall length of hose onitwith a bolt in it orpinch it together and weld itshut). You will also need a shorter belt (run from crank pulley directly to the alternator).

Hopethis helps.
