(+) DVOM lead on green wire
(COM) DVOM lead on black wire

If reading is negative you have other problems...... BTW, did you run the DIY KOEO/KOER/Cylinder Balance Self-Tests .... suggest you do..... what problem are you trying to fix?.....LUK

yeah i bet your on the wrong wires..... how did you pierce them ? safety pins ?

and you WILL get a diff reading if you go black to ground... instead of the black wire. you need to be in the black tps wire w/ the black lead

im having what seems to be a fuel delivery issue

where under part throttle and somtimes WOT throttle the motor is not getting enough fuel

ifi go to give it any gas at all the car wll just fall on its face, and start popping through the intake.

thought maybe the TPS is not giving the computer accurate readings so when i do give it throttle computer barely giving it enough fuel cuz the tps stopped telling it how much throttle im giving it.

Run the self tests and check what the ECM is working with.... if there are no KOEO/KOER TPS related failure codes.....the problem is elsewhere. LUK

okay i figured it out i had the wiring wrong like nitrous bob said... idk how i had the color wires written infront of me... but i some how pierced the orange and green instead of the black and green

but any way at idle (im using a sewing pin through the wire) im pull .74 my idle is pretty good though at 800rpms... it moves around but hte typical idle is 800rpms... if i raise the idle voltage will that not raise my idle as well

and could it solve my surging/popping issue im having at part throttle

Changing the tps setting can't/won't affect the idle...neither quality nor rpm...

You may want to bump the idle speed up though... 850 maybe???

.... keep in mind that the "idle set point target" in the EEC system is 672 rpms. The system will try to reach that goal one way or the other (IAC, timing control)....... if you set it too high, the system will take spark timing out at idle (causing the surging idle symptom)....... suggest to go over the Base Idle Reset Procedure and follow it to the T. LUK
