The 347 has lower DISPLACEMENT, the 302 wins.
Now if they were both the same displacement, the torque in the 302 will raise up to or past the 350's factor.
Good combination on the 347 though, most 350'S Dont have internal engine mods, do to how hard it is to swap in parts with the engine inside the car.
Drop a N/A 351 in and matching setup and look at those torque numbers

TA - LS1 ...... 11.7 qrt/mile
I think I'd take the lower hp, but quicker mustang.

I would take the ls1 handsdown. I am comparing the power, not the suspension.
An ls1 is a 346. The mustang is a 347.
The ls1 has many advantages over the 347.

it really doesn't matter in the end what advantages go where and to whom....bottom line is who crossed the line first..I never have felt the mustang and camoro deserve to be compared to one another since the camaro's bread and butter has been the 350 vs the mustangs 302......to get a mustang to beat a stock gen 4 camaro you gotta start modding

What good is the extra power if you're still going slower ?
TA weighs maybe 200 lbs more than stang and has a better stock suspension and fatter tires.
