Set timing with the pip out at 13-14. the gap on the plugs look a little to big.

I have tryed seting it at 15*/13*/6*/ and 0*,and it still spikes at full throtle.
My plug gap is .52,could the plugs be the problem. Plus before I started to Mess with the timing,it would backfire out of the intake? Anyanswers to any of this?

are you setting it BTDC, or ATDC?

and have you been pulling out the spout connector?

spike you meen pinging?mine would only allow 8* until i changed the 4 cats backpressure on the exhuast valve? sounds like you have another problem besides timing if its spitting out the intake or the diz. isnt on top dead center

well i'm sure the gap is actually .052" cuz no way could you get more than a 1/2 inch on it

but try going down to about .045" and see what happens ? what plugs ? DO NOT USE platinum

and +1 whaddya mean "spikes" ???? fuel pressure ? it will always spike under wot if yes
