Default 94 gt wont idle right

the car idles at 700 RPM, and it wants to surge from about 600 RPM down to 450 RPM, and when i get on it (wide open throttle) itspikes? What is the problem[:@]I have tryed to set the timing at 15*/13*/12*/6*/0*, and it still does it. No check engine light or anything is on. It was Backfiring out of the intake before i started to adj the timing , now it dont backfire, but itwont idle right. i have the Plugs gaped at .52, Ford Racing Plug wires 9mm, and MSD Coil, cold air induction, and flowmaster 44's on the car,the rest is stock. could someone help me out? or if you have had a problem like this how did you fix it?

you still didnt check for vacuum leak with a smoke test!!! that is the only way you could tell if you have a vacuum leak!!!!!!!

Iknow that it doesn't have a vacuum leak,I ran the KOEO/KOER test again, and the only code i got was 33 (EGR Valve not opening), but i think it is because i have no cats on the car. Also when you set the timing should you make the line for the timing light at 0 or a BTDC?
Right now I have it set at 6* with the light and0 on the balancer. Could that be the problem?

nope not a valid comparisson drawn!!!!^^^^^^^egr and not having cats are not related and don't be so sure you don't have a vaccum leak cause a ruptured diaphram in the egrvalve will not allow egr to open and operate but whenvaccum is applied to it toopen it ..if diapram is ruptured it'll vent to atmosphere and simulate a vaccum leak and you need to set base timing with spout removed to 10 degrees not 6
