ok I appreciate it...everyone is saying the stock one but the cobra one seemed to run better and made the car sound better until i changed the injectors and mass air and messed everything up.

Ive currently got a Cobra computer in mine and alot of people are telling me to go back to the stock one.

Why would the stock one be better?

because the injector calibration is in the cobra ecm where as the stock a9l ecm does not use a calibration as such for injectors it uses maf readings or maf manipulation for fuel mapping

you might be alright because the cobra computer is made to run with 24# pound inj. and 24#inj calibrated MAF sensor...see mine started to act funny when i changed the MAF sensor from a 70mm to a 75mm(19#inj calibrated[:@])lol..so...everyone says use the stock one but u have the specs i typed above...i recommend the cobra........then again i might try puting the cobra back in a get with tuned to my new injectors and mAF sensor.

If the X3Z ran better, then stick with that...
You are going to get a custom tune via a J3 chip, so it really doesn't matter. BUT, if the X3Z is already running better, then it will just be that much easier to dial in with the J3 chip.

Really, the change for putting 30's in an X3Z is VERY simple...
If you are willing to invest some time and money, you could do it yourself...

Here is a link that goes into some of the Ignition Timingdifferences between the A9L and X3Z...

The a9 series is the most aggressive period[8D], but with a chip, it aint gonna matter, the ECM will just be a drawing table.

Based on what?
Test data? What parameters are you looking at?

I'm always curious of the justification when I see a blanket statement like this...
