Just wanted to clear one thing up, is the only reason 1.7 ratio roller rockers dont clear the short valve covers because of the oil baffle, if i cut that out, can i safely run 1.7s? and will there be any complications with the breather/PCV and oil getting up in there? or will i be better off running tall valve covers


also, anyone know of a tall valve cover that works without a spacer on a performer RPM II, i know my friend uses BBK talls with a perf RPM 1, but i dont know about the II

I know for sure you can use crane energizer 1.7 pedestal mounts on any gt40 head iron or aluminum and all you need to do is take out the baffle, but if you use stud mount or dif brand rocker it shouldnt make a difference.

AFRs and Stud mounts? i guess ill just try it, and if it doesnt work, ill go with some talls

my neighbors got a 93 lightning with a 351, short valve covers and 1.7s he said all he did was remove the baffle

would it be smart to tack another one to keep oil out of the PCV/breather, or would i be okay?
