Gasoline Stabilizer success story
In 2002 I had to move my 86 gt to another state to store in a garage because I ran out of room where I live with too many vehicles. Before I stored it, i flushed and changed the antifreeze, oil, filters, fuel filters. I dosed up the gas good with Amsoil Gas Stabilizer and topped off the tank. Jacked it up and covered it up. It was stored in a concrete block garage, no heat with a cememt floor. This past Wed, April 23d we went down to get it going and back on the road. When we got there it was early so I disconnected the fuel filter, spliced in a short piece of pipe and hose into a container, jumped the relay under the seat and pumped some gas into the container to check the gas. Amazingly the gas was not rancid. I had no idea the stabilizer would last so long. So I crossed my fingers, put on a new filter and topped off the gas and it fired right up. 6 years. I drove around for awhile, put in a can of Sea Foam in the tank and drove 500 miles home. 28 mpg. So the moral of the story, If you are going to store your car for an extended period of time, by all means use Gas Stabilizer.
