check to see if the heads have the ports for the thermactor air system.. that is another reason why it may not say legal...also emissions output of cam will affect legal status

that's not what I was refering to as the thermactor air injection ports..do you know what I'm talking about or how to identify heads with such??? at the the back of the heads there will be two holes that enter the exhaust ports

Im a little lost but what your saying is the two holes in the back are the thermactor air injection ports.. does the port size matter when it come to being legal. and sorry for being a noob -----but everyones got to learn it at least one timeand what not a better place to pick the minds of people then here,

also Due to the increased torque and horsepower produced by SysteMAX II a heavy duty manual transmission (Ford SVO) must be used. What do you guys think. is anyone running this set up?

CARB# = California Air Resources Board exception #.

For the heads to be "smog legal", they need the thermactor holes at the back + the EGR crossover port in the middle of the intake side ports.

haa ha yeah even if the part is "emissions friendly" or even produces LESS emissions that factory you will NOT be legal UNLESS it has the EO# like some have stated above.
EVEN IF it has 100% smog gear holes etc NO not legal unless 100% stock part or EO# and to further complicate the kit in question would have to have an overall EO in this case, after which, other parts with EO might NOT be legal... so the car as a whole even with EO# on everything might VERY well NOT be legal as a whole.

also the systemax2 kit's individual parts are not smog legal on their own, HOWEVER for comparision example: the systemax1 efi kit for 5.0 mustangs is the opposite... its lower intake has an EO by itself the lunati 110lsa (!) has its own EO the kit together has an EO... and All of these EO are 50 state in this case

weirdness huh
