Default 351 motor question.

i found a '76 351W motor for sale for 150 dollars. it came out of ford econline.

do you think this is a good deal? is it a good year for the 351? what kind of questions should i ask. engine still runs its just reallllllllly dirty and old

Good deal? It's about what it should cost. Is it the preferred block? No, 69 through 74 is the preffered block. Is it bad? No.

if nothing else it is a learning experience for 150$. i dont think its a bad deal for someone like me who likes to tinker and rebuild and learn. but i suppose that all depends what you wana get out of it

whats the diff between 76 and 74 for example? any harder to work on the 76 vs the 74. what kind of overall performance diff are we lookin at? is it 4 bolt main?

any particular reason why not the 76 block? whats wrong with it vs the 69-74 or 94+? im just curious for my own knowledge

69-74 are strongest 69-70 can be hard to come by
94+ are roller compatible
