you can align a car with wider tires on the rear than the front cause the heads clamp to the rim not wheel so tire width has nothing to do with it.. you need a specialty shop to do what you need ....not places like pepgirls, midas, mineke, or lube center type shops.....places like that don't employ highly trained professionals

+1 on taking it to a place that knows what they are doing. I am running 17x9's front and back with 245/45-17's on a 90 GT with Eibach lowering springs and have no rubbing issues because I had it aligned at a shop where the guy knew what he was doing. I also have caster/camber plates which help out alot.

After watching your video I have a few more comments. I have the almost the exact same wheels on my 89 LX, 9" front and rear, and my car is lowered much more then yours as I can barely put my hand between the tire and the fender in the front. My tire size is 235 45 17. I went with this size because it is the reccomended tire size by ford. As someone else here mentioned 245's are also very commonly used with no issues. My fronts rubbed until I rolled the front fenders. Seems to me a set a caster camber plates would solveyour issue as most allow you to increase the caster angle which will slightly move your front wheel assembly rearward. Also like someone else here mentioned, don't use a muffler repair shop or the like for alignment stuff. Go to a good tire shop in your area that sells custom wheels and tell them what you are trying to accomplish. Bottom line is that up until 89 a 15" wheel was the largest size reccomended. 90 and up front fenders have an enlarged wheel opening to fit 16" Ponys. Stick with it, with a little effort you can make 17x9's work well for your application.
