RE: Rear gear?
+1 4.10's
+1 on aod cars you cannot correct past 3.55's , actually 3.27 uses the 21t speedo gear and the 23t is not a ford part, it will get destroyed by driving and is worse in aod cars (aod and t5 have different pitch of teeth)
anyways... the 3 top bang for the buck mods you can make... hands down....in order
1) gears and tires
2) nitrous
3) heads

Wait a minute, so if I put 4.10's on my Stang than I wouldn't really be going 70 MPH if thats what the speedometer says?
And if so, is it more speed in reality or less?

FYI. anything over 3.55's on an AOD and you cannot properly correct the speedo..... no matter how hard you try
if its a manual, you can change out the drive gear in he tranny.

at 2211 RPM's, with 4.10 gears, and the correction for 3.55's you would be traveling at 60.6 mph
so your speedo would be about 10mph fast at 60mph(which means you would rack up the miles faster too)
