Default Throttle body spacer and intake very hot.

Hi guys. I just put a 331 stroker in my 89GT. For some reason its running a little hot. I'm going to replace the stock fan with an electric fan. But thats not my biggest problem. The bigger problem, is that for some reason after I run the carfor a while and get it warmed up, the throttle body spacer and the upper intake get VERY hot. If you touch it for more than a split second, it will burn you. Does anyone know what might be going on here? Any help is muchappreciated. By the way, it's a 331 with brand newAFR 185 heads, 70mm. holley throttle body, brand new holley systemax intake, 30# injectors, and matching pro-m mass air meter. Thanks again

do you have a egr spacer valve? if not then the exhaust thats hot will cook up in the intake make the intake hot and then the throttle body hot and then u get hot air going into your motor and you loose power. Also if your not using the egr then u must block off the egr ports.
