tps adjustment? confused
ok i am running crank and alternator right now with a underdrive crankshaft pulley and alternator pulley, i have no ac smog powersteering or any of that. My timing is advanced to 14 degrees.
I want to adjust my tps i know how just not sure what i should set it to.
Do i just turn it and then see where im idling at and if its to high turn it back down, what should the volt meter read?

now is this the stock setting for the tps, or anywhere in that range will help me have a snappier throttle response. just trying to make my car move a little quicker with stuff i can pretty much do for free.

Sadly the sticky here remains, which is helping this 'magazine myth' keep alive.
The following thread is a little long, but the main point came up in the first post... the rest was pretty much supporting info...

I do have a problem with the following though...
Now to check the voltage turn on your multimeter and make sure all of the wires are hooked up right. Then turn the ignition key to the on position, but don't start the car. You should be getting a reading on your multimeter. It should be .98-.99 volts. If its not, then its time to loosen the screws on the TPS and move it around until you get it right.
As long as the idle output is within the acceptable range, there is no reason to adjust the tps to .98-.99v

Just follow these instructions in this thread here to reset your Base idle. The computer will take care of the rest when it comes to the TPS. Unless you have a TPS that's falling into the error range that is.

mods do not matter... just set it to make sure it's ok
you will most likely have to auger the holes out to get past .900
anything in the .900 range is great , myth or not, i'd keep it under 1 volt , i'll stick w/ the story on that , but no proof to back it up
