I used a pair from these guys. Priced right and seem to flow much better than stock. http://www.bearriverconverters.com/

I used the small series.

But in general do street legal aftermarket cats offer better perfromance over stock cats? or is the difference not really noticable?

the stock H pipe is pretty restrictive, there are gains to be had with offroad or high flow cats.

Stock H pipes have 4 cats...aftermarket have 2...so going w/ an afermarket will give you more power, plus it will be noticebly louder. Idsave your selftime and money and go w/ anO/R midpipe.

Check with BBK they make some high flow cats that are Carb legal in Cali. If you made any mods to the top end of yourmotor then you would not want the stocker choking down any gains that you have made.
