Default Charcoal canister

just started tearing apart an 85 GT i just picked up. i found the charcoal canister has had all its lines cut. i already ripped the stock tank out so i didnt even look to see how that was previously vented.

does anyone know, if i get an aluminum fuel cell if that should just be vented, or hooked up to a charcoal canister, and also where should the other lines from the canister have been going? i searched some and think its supposed to be going to my intake (cars a holley 4bbl carb). does anyone know where that line should be? and without the canister should that line be plugged?

thanks
