Default no sound from speakers

i just wired in a CD player in my msutnag again...i had to run new speaker wires and i ran the battery remote and ground to the cars existing wires...now all the sudden the speakers stoped working...the subwoofers work but the speakers arent...any idea what this might be?

i had this happen to me in my old mustang too and i think it might be the cd player but im just looking to see if there is something else im missing

Theres probably a bad connection.
Unplug all the speaker wires and plug one set in. If it works, plug another set in. Keep doing that until they dont work again.

Seeing that you replaced all the wires the factory amp isnt the issue here so Im betting on a wiring issue. Its happened to me before.

Change the rear speaker wires to the front speaker wires to see if it is wiring or the unit it self. I have seen a lot of people blow the rear channels out by hooking up their amps to a [+ & -] spice into the rear speaker wires.

check us out on the audio forum next time. When a deck has a shorted speaker it will often turn off the decks amp to keep from smoking it. When it does this the pre-amp will remain on which is what it driving your sub amp. Check all your connections and see if there are any places that are shorting. If you don't see any try disconecting one speaker at a time from the deck, with the deck on to see if it will come back on when you disconnect the one that is shorted.
