Default valve adjustment

can i bug someone to tell me how to adjust the valves on my 302 im installing adjustable valves on it its a 88 roller motor if that helps any but im not sure as to how to get them to where i can start the engine when i get finished putting it all together to adjust them out properly.........thanks for any info

if they are stud mount...after making sure push rod is correct length/ correct geometry, roll each cylinder up on tdc and progress in accordance with firing order doing both intake and exhaust on that cylinder and tighten down until 0 lash = slight drag on push rod while spinning it then 1/4 to 1/2 more turn from there..then lock poly lock down
