Your pistons you are using is setup for a spirolock?
What rod are you using?

im using some forged aluminum pistons in a rebuild kit, and using c8 rods

Ok so you have a non bushed rod, thats not gonna work for a floating pin and that piston is more than likely a press fit.

Yes, you have to have pistons and rods that are set up for floating pin.
