engine banging ...like midgets with hammers inside of valve covers
ok replaced my pushrdos and now theyre is a huge banging rattling type noise and my car wont start (turns but doesnt stay idling) beofre i did this my car had a tick but ran great! so i changed out the pushrods along with a list of other things gaskets oil pump you know the list of things you would do ..one day i pulled the pushrods to check them they were a little worn out so i said screw it theyre cheap so i replaced them while i was checkling them ...why not right?? Now my car is completley undrivable .....I now realize i didnt lube these at all could that be the noise??? im thinking i forgot to hok up an air hose or something but i dont have any emmissions stuff on my car .....i hope i didnt confuse you but WEHY IS MY CAR LOUD AS ****??

RE: installing pushrods NOIsE??
Yea, you put them in like you take them out. You need to check the pushrod length with this tool. If new cam was installed and same valvetrain was used you need to upgrade the springs also.

RE: installing pushrods NOIsE??
Did you compare the size of the new push rods to the one's you took out? Did you make sure when you put the push rods in they were seated correctly in the lifter? Turn the motor over by hand and check to make sure all valve are opening and closings. Not much to screw up when swapping push rods especially with the pedestal mount.
