5L Grand Marquis Engine + Nitrous?
Hey,
My buddy has a 88 RX7 with a '90 Grand Marquis 5L (150fwhp stock). He always thought he had 300whp with intake and exhaust.. but recently he realized he had around 200whp... Anyways, he wants to get a 100-150shot on his motor.. I'm not sure how strong Grand Marquis engines are.. will it be able to handle that kind of increase?
Thanks,
Rob
P.s. he also swapped in the AOD Tranny from the same car, stock stall, possibly a shift kit.

i know guys on here with thier H.O's pumping 150 shots on a stock motor BUT i dunno if those EFI are weaker or equal to the H.O's. The worst you can do, is try it and see if it holds up haha [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Why? I know a guy that had a 350 in a gen1 RX and that this is pretty close to undrivable and its got a decent suspension and sticky tires. The wind blows the wrong way and its fishtailing all over the place. I think once you went to hit the go juice you would be in a dangerous situation, especially if you not an excellent driver.

grang marquis motor is same roller block as 5.0 h.o but without forged pistons and h.o cam...I wouldn't spray a 150 shot more so a 100 to be safe on cast pistons
