The only downside is the air can flow better and can dry out the blinker fluid, so you might have to check that a bit more frequently. But its a good trade off.

everything is good... do it, it restricts airflow to do exaclty it's name. make the car quiter for old ladies... it is quiter due to lack of airflow which reduces hp

it's not significant, but if you could find 5 hp 10 places for free.... that is noticible

and yeah.... your not out there yet ?

FYI, it's in the front right fender well on the other side of the air filter.

Don't worry about sounding stupid, lots of people aren't aware of blinker fluid. But you know how on some care the blinkers are flashing too slow or too fast? That's due to an improper amount of blinker fluid. And the resevoir for the fluid is located pretty close to your air box. And by removing the air silencer you are allowing more air to flow by the blinker fluid, which will obviously dry it out faster. But I wouldn't worry about it unless you notice a problem with the blinkers. Although it might be a good idea just to go outside and make sure its topped up (but not over full, you dont want them blinking too fast), if you have a hard time finding it, I am sure a mechanic wouldnt't mind showing or checking for you if you ask nicely.

Blinker fluid is whatallows the blinkers to blink on and off.
