I am planning on getting gear set, but i got to know what i have? Is it a 3;73??? What gear set should i get, i want to launch when i gas it, but be also good for the street! I was wondering if 4:11/ 4:10s are good one to choose?? I need to know asap, i just insalled my slp,x-pipe, and jba headers and i need to get my gear set so i can go run it thanks,Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Is it auto or stick, look on the drivers door for the axle code.

4.10's are the best gear you can get. for optimum str8 line performance. you will still get about 21 mpg on the freeway, and tach about 3000 doing 85, you'll go through the traps at about 5200-5500
going smaller to like 3.73 , you will drop your rpm by about 250, so no significant gas mileage savings. the loss of gear will be significant though, enuff that a typical 300 hp car will not lift the tire on a 5k launch on slicks... a stock 5.0 5-speed will lift a few inches w/ just 4.10's and hard launch

check your door tag, 5-speeds only had 2.73 or 3.08 and aod's had the availability of 3.27

but what about a built motor...sure 4.10's are great for a 13 sec car, but then when u hit mid 12's your going to need to rev it up a little more to keep from running out of gear.
