Default Trickflow lower intake gasket

I bought some trick flow lower intake gaskets. Trick Flow Specialties TFS-2855. They look a little different from the stock gaskets. Will these work on my car? The major difference I noticed...it looks like it covers up the middle runner. It looks like the runner that feeds the egr? Is this true and could I just cover it up? I dont use the egr anymore,I have a egr delete plate.

If you don't use the EGR you can cover it up
