Default Goal: Low 11 1/4

Well my notch has been stock long enough I think its time to get crackin on it. i want to do a single turbo set up that can run a low 11 second time. I am keeping all the options (heat, AC, P/S.)

Aside from low compression and some custom piping I have no idea whats needed to make this work reliably.

Any tips?

If you want it reliable get a forged rotating assembly. Stock block will be fine. Just put a main girdle on it with ARP studs. Either 302 or 331. A 331 will help you get into the 11s easier. But with a single turbo it wont be a problem. A basic H/C/I will do alot of good too. EFI or carb?

no reason for a forged crank in a stock block.... the block will give long before the crank then your out even more money.......but at least put forged pistons in and a custom cam and adequate intake and a good tune to the boost level will be key for longevity

heck, with a spot on tune, the completly stock shortblock will suffice, making it run low 11's all the time, it will shorten the life span.

heads, intake, injectors, maf, 2 fuel pumps, exhaust, tune and turbo- 8-10psi should get you there.

Forget the forged **** in a stock block. That may be a good idea if your building a stroker motor and not pushing far past 400-450fwhp. When you jump on the boost bandwagon, forging anything in the stock rotating assembly is just a waste of time considering the block is what you have to worry about. Get the tune spot on with some methanol injection and you'll easily have the power for 10's in the 1/4th. Don't forget, power alone won't get you there. Your going to need to control that power to make it do wonderful things.
