How hard is it to replace the sender unit in the gas tank. My gas gauge has stopped working. I called a local mustang shop and was told that it wasn't that hard to do myself. does anyone have any instructions or know where to find the information on how to replace the part? Thanks

run the car until its about empty. remove the gas tank, turn the retaining clip on the sending unit. remove the unit, install the new one... put the car back together.

just drop the tank and you'll see it in the center = one for fuel gauge...2 straps to drop the tank..once you get clearance to work on it...15 min and it'll be on the ground
