how restrictive are stock shortie headers??
i have a offroad h pipe thats 3" all the way to flowmaster 40 series dumped. would some bbk un equal length headers help alot or no??
or does it not matter cus i have the ****ay 86 heads??

if you have the bbks put them on not hard to do.you will pick up some hp/tq.and it will sound good

stock ones suck and a 3 inch h-pipe on a stock motor is overkill..it really wouldn't benifit you much.....I picked up 2 tenths on my 85 with a previous motor whenI went from stock to equal length shorties

depends on your mods
stock engine you wont see anything
but of you have some good mod's, should pick up a decent amount.
im keeping my stocker's till after heads, as i dont want to lose any low down pwr

Yes it will help anything that is less restrective on the exhuast within reason will be good for flow. The stock headers have huge crimps in them near the flange that no after market headers should have.
