Default Need to replace tie rod ends

So I went to get a wheel alignment today and the guy said he can't do it cause I need an inner Tie Rod end on the passenger side. I didn't have the time to wait for him to do so, I bounced and decided to do it myself (I like doing things myself ).

So anyway, since I'm changing them, a few of questions:

1. Is it hard to do?
2. Is there an upgrade to Tie Rod Ends or are they pretry much standard?
3. Should I replace both left and right at the same time?
4. Should I replace the outter ends as well?

Just buy a new rack they come with the inners attached. The only upgrade i know is bump steer for the outers if your car is lowered. If you do change the rack look into some urethane or aluminum rack mount bushings

Why would you recommend replacing something that is not broke? You must have money falling out of your butt.

Rod ends are easy to replace, remove the castle nut and you will need to smack the steering knuckle where the rod end connets with a small sledge (or use a pickle fork)to disconnect the rod end from the knuckle, mark how far the rod end is threaded on the tie-rod and remove. Install the new rod end to your mark on the tie-rod, reassemble, and have the steering aligned.

honestly REPLACE the entire rack. i just had to do this. both of my inners were shot. so i bought all new tie rod ends inners and outers. brought it to a shop to do. (i needed an oil pump aswell) turned out my rack was shot too.

but it is a much better investment to do the whole rack. and its honestly not much more for the whole rack w/ the inners already installed then going through the hastle of getting a special tool to replace the inners. and it is easier to replace the rack. it is two big bolts and the power steering lines.

if you want a manual rack... I have one for a fox, sitting in my garage that I'll send to you for $185 shipped.

comes with inners and outers. all you need to get is a set of bellows
