Default VSS Help

Hey guys, I was wondering how the speedo-cable stays in the VSS. Here is a reference photo for anyone who does not understand. http://www.midnightdsigns.com/Mustan...arts%20011.jpg

That is not mine, just an example.

Anyways, I believe it uses a c-clip of some sort buti cannot tell. Does anyone know if a new speedo cable will come with a clip? I ask, because I am doing a swap into my 71, with a t5. Some of you may remember my old post, it got lost in the crash thou.(i think, i couldn't find it).

anyways, I ask primarily, as I just have the VSS on my t5, but no 'clips' that i can see/feel. So, any info on how the cable is retained in the sensor, and if a new cable should come with the retaining device would be great! Thanks again, guys.

Oh, while i am looking, i currently have the speedo set for 3.55 gears. I am running 3.25's in the 9" rear. Anyone know what 'colour' gear, or gears i will need? I was just thinking about it. I am running the mag 500 rims (15x8) as well, if that matters.

your rim size doesnt mean ****, its the TIRE that matters

you need either a black 6T drive gear and a wine 16T driven gear
OR
a yellow 7t drive gear and a pink 19T driven gear
OR
a green 8T drive gear and a red 21T driven gear

these are the gear sets for 3.27 gears, and the closest you will get.... ever

Ok, what would the factory drive gear be in an 87/88 turbo coupe t5 (they had 3.55's factory). Sorry for asking alot of unknowledgable questions regarding the t5 guys. But thank you all for your help.
