Default HELP IDing red top injectors

I have tried searching, but it is still broken. Then tried sn95forums, corral, stangnet, google and yahoo...jack.

I found 2 ohc 4.0 explorers that have red top injectors...what are they? I tried, but noone can answer me. I found that Ford color codes their injectors and if this is the same color as the rest they would be 30s, but I thought that to be too big for a 4.0. These Explorers are in the yard so no papers and I think they are 96-98 somewhere in that range. I believe one said trac lok on the back door maybe awd as well. It had the plastic intake that said 4.0 on it.

If these are 30s can just get them put them in and run the same maf from one of the trucks?

This might help......

A couple of things I've found:

1. Check this note regarding the Explorer/Ranger 4.0L injectors.....
WARNING:
In most cases the color codes below are correct, I've been told that its not always true and people have been burned on E-bay and such. For example, Bosch part number 0 280 150 931 are 19 lb injectors, are red top, and are used in Aerostars, Explorers 96- and others. The Bosch 30#lb injectors are part# 0 280 150 951.
2. Bosch/Ford E5ZE-36lb....36lb Bosch-Brown Top......Tested Resistance 2.7 Ohms....Fitment = 2.3L T'bird/Mustang Turbo & 85-89 2.3L Merker XR4-Ti ........or LOW Impedance, the EEC-IV system will not like them and burn.

Just a :FYI:
IOW.... check the Bosch part number.

The part numbers you gave are for the older style injectors with red tops. The picture shows the ones I pulled from the explorers and the parts numbers are 0280155735. These are the design 3 injectors that everybody seems to say are better we will see.

Snapped fuel rail bolt, tried to start it anyway and fuel spray everywhere. Changing the lower tonight. I will post my opinion on these. Not that anybody cares, but it might help people...if the search is ever fixed and I like follow ups.
