Ya, 3.90s was a good choice till I found out they don't make a speedo correction gear for this set up. I guess I'll have to find a 3.73 or 4.10speedogearand have my MPH off like 5-10 MPH.[:@]
you will be fine with 3.90's though i think 4.10's would be a better choice, but its your choice, i think that guy doesnt fully understand the concept of rear end gears
he can tell you anything, he may not understand all the physics of the gearing, but hopefully he does know how to do it right, ask him about backlash and what it should be. get ford racing gears btw, they are much better.
if the gears are installed wrong, from not enough backlash, the teeth will eat each other and its toast, and if the backlash is too tight, then the gears whine its butt off, thats if i am not mistaken.
