Try cleaning the throttle body. If its dirty, it can casue them to whistle.

Does anyone have an idea of what the check engine could be? My temp gauge started working again today, and i cleaned all the carbon out of the throttle body. I have been persistant about finding the whistle but i still kind find it. It has been running rich and it almost has a small miss when i start it, but as soon as i rev it a little it goes away. But the throttle response is definately not as crisp as it usually is and i can smell its rich. So what vacuum leak or faulty sensor would cause all this?

my car was acting the SAME WAY..... changed the o2's have not had a check engine light, or issue sence.

no, dident blow a gasket, or anything like you did, but had the same issues.


run the codes, but its not like o2's are expensive, i think i payed $80 for 2, i bought the upstream type
