throttle body question

i was just looking through this new summit catalogue that i got, and i was wondering why some throttle bodies cost more than others. on something as small as a throttle body, is summits brand (for $160) any worse than bbk's (for $210), or are you pretty much paying for the brand name?

My opinion is you're paying for the name. I had a BBK and it didn't look like anything special, I sold it for a polished one.

yea i have a bbk to, it serves its purpose, just dont buy an ebay brand

You are paying for the CNC machining or not, material the TB is made of, tolerances, and overall fit and finish.

That being said, I prefer Accufab. However, I do understand budget completely.
