I've heard this too, should be a similar engine to what was in the Saleen Parnelli Jones Mustang. My guess is a 3v OHC 5.0, a bored or stroked version of what's in the GT now.

Yeah, and I was also reading that the high-end stang might come with a 6.2L V8! If this comes true, ford finally thought things well not to stay behind from the camaro/firebird like they did in late 90's. ITS A DREAM COME TRUE!!!
