Default emissions =$

Im not quite sure what would make me emissions ILLegal (live in cali), as Im gonna be having an ecam, possibly trickflow street heat u/l intake installed, and a new xpipe W/cats. Aside from also going with a bigger maf and throt-body, does anyone think I wont pass and what would I need to change? any help is appreciated... I need to pass by next year which is a ways away but Id like to take care of it now.

As long as you keep your smog pump and all vacumms properly hooked up you'll be fine. Also you have to get it tunned in a dyno shop.

I have a delete of something but not exactly sure if its the smog pump or not, unfortunately I think it might be. I have under drive pullies though would I need to get rid of them? and I would definitely be saving for a tune after this gets done. I should be happy with this for the engine for a while until I can save up enough for a trickflow top end kit and maybe some boost.
As far as vacuum lines, to be honest I have no idea how they run/which should or shouldnt be connected to what etc lol.. Im sure my mechanic would help me with that.

^ that's not always true... it all depends on what smog shop you go to... some will be real dicks and demand carb stickers for everything.... others don't even look. the best you can do is keep all your carb stickers / cam card showing the carb number in your glove box... then just make sure it will actually pass (may or may not need dyno tuning) depends on how radical your setup is.

You are... He'll never pass a visual inspection without a smog pump. Then again, at the right shop at the right time, anything is possible.

Just go to a couple of cruise nights and find out where the local guys take their stuff and how much they had to slide the guy to pass 'em. Then do whatever you want.
