Look for a small phenolic panel(non plastic,stands up to the heat)either under the hood or the passenger side dash,(I can't recall which one you have) 2 bolts hold it in, there will be 2 wires between the bolts.
Remove the panel and the resistor is inside. The resistor doesn't usually go bad unless your blower motor has issues.(tight bearings).
The oillite bushings are supposed to be permanently lubricated(HA).
While you have resistor out, you might as well remove the motor too.
Use a light weight oil like 3 in 1 or something like that.
Lubing the shaft end is easy, the opposite end is a little trickier.
drill or grind a small hole in the motor housing and oil through the hole.
Go easy on the oil on this end as this is where the brushes are(they don't like oil).
And speaking of the brushes, they are the other part that wears down.
So if your car has a lot of years/miles on it, you might be better off replacing the motor too.
If you don't and the blower motor is too tight you'll be buying another resistor soon.
