Don't be a dick. The guys asking for help. Would you like the same responses when you need help?

if you can't change a cap and rotor, you shouldn't be able to own a mustang ,much less a COBRA

So he should trade his cobra in for a gt so he can learn how to do the exact same thing?

sure you may need to learn but NOT on a cobra!!! learn on a gt! there's alot more out there so it's not so horrible if something gets messed up, a cobra is a much rarer car. so in all honesty, if you cant change a rotor.... then you shouldt even touch that car. it's about the easiest thing to change..........

Wow, you guys must really be great techs if you get your jollies ragging on someone that asked a simple question. So he's new to what he is doing, so what. Asking questions is how you learn. Maybe the rotor is the o/e and never been changed. I know for a fact they can be very hard to remove sometimes. Maybe he figured he would ask instead of taking a chance on breaking something. But I bet none of you geniuses thought about that huh[&:]? You guys must be ASE master techs (yeah I doubt it), I suggest showing some respect to your fellow stanger and keep the smart guy comments to yourself.
Thanks

Adder and I have spoken don't you worry about that and he has been on P/A before because of it. That's where you're headed if you keep up. My suggestion, drop it and be a nicer member to those that don't know as much as you. That's what forums are here for, to help others and learn.

Lol all this arguing and I haven't seen an answer yet [8D].
I don't know how far you got but you basically just unclip the metal clips on the cap, pull it off, and lift the rotor right out. It should be pretty easy since it just slides right onto the shaft. There shouldn't be anything causing it to stick unless someone glued it in or something. It is pretty much the easiest thing you can do with a car so if you are having trouble I'd try and get a maintenance manual and look through that before tackling any other projects on the car.
