Default Gas mileage

Hello all,

I am having an issue with my gas mileage. I just changed my plug, wire, cap, fuel filter, etc.. Still I only get about 250 kms per tank.

I have a 91 gt 5 speed with about 120 kms. The only mods are pullies, timing @ 14, K&N filter (removed silencer).

I just bought this car last August and didn't remember it being this bad. Could the timing @ 14 cause this. Running 94 octane.

Just don't know what else to try.

Thanks,

Fairlee

I am getting the exact same mileage as you are. I haven't done a full tune-up yet, I am thinking it may be o2's. Have you scanned your car??

Haven't scaned. I guess I should.

Tune up made it run better but same gas mileage. Let me know how your tuneup goes.

Will do I am doing a tuneup in the next 2 weeks if I can find somewhere that sells autolite coppers. If that does not fix it I will take the plunge for new o2's.

I usually fill up around that area. But I have a carbed setup with a 3 speed and cruise at 2g's or higher most of the time. Right about 12- 14mpg or so
