KOER code 33
So i pulled a code 33 today, "egr closed/erratic insufficient flow". What are the causes of this? If it helps my car idles kind of high but other than that it runs great.

RE: KOER code 33
Just clean out the egr plate and plunger. Might have a lot of carbon build up

RE: KOER code 33
Code 33 = EGR valve detected not opening. A problem in the vacuum line from the
EVR solenoid, or a problem with the vacuum supply line to the EVR solenoid will cause the EGR not to open as well. it will only cause the EEC to delete the EGR function and no driveability problems. Since the idle is a little high, look for the possibility of a vacuum leak that could also be affecting its operation. LUK

RE: KOER code 33
Do what Joel5.0 says and check for a vacuum leak and than clean out the egr plat w/t throttle body cleaner.

RE: KOER code 33
Ive got that code and I just ignored it. Figured since the egr wasnt opening and since there is no CEL I just deleted it and bypassed my coolant lines.
